I’ve never been a rangefinder guy. So this would be my choice for the genre. It’s the best of what the great Nikon film cameras have ever been. It’s got no relevance to the current photo market. And film support sevices are going away at a frightening rate. But if I didn’t give a damn about that and wanted to shoot film as well as possible, for as long as I possible – this would be my axe.
Astonishing that Nikon still makes it.
Meant to post this to the photo 11 blog but somehow added it to my personal blog (which autoloads to my Facebook page) instead. Sorry Ron. But hey – now you’ve got a whole new fan base…
Though I’m not a JPEG regular – each time I go I see astonishing work. Kind of a mix of amateur photo contest and Flickr (though with a much nicer UI…) JPEG is full of creative energy and passionate shooters. It’s not all great. But there is great stuff – easily found.
Their current “challenge” theme is Cafes. A nice eclectic variety of work.
I’ve come across Laura Taylor’s blog a few times just cruisng around Tumblr. Seems pretty active in the online LA photo community. Obviously knows a model or two. And she shoots a LOT.
Aside from adimirng her quiet whimsical style, her blog inspires me to shoot more. Post more. And show more.
Her portfolio site is nice too. Enjoy.
